If you are interested in the topic of sustainable agriculture or landraces/heirloom varieties, and you would like to get in touch with organic gardeners and farmers, or you would like to become the member of an enthusiastic group of people, do not hesitate to join us!
How can I join?
You have several possibilities. We are happy to connect those who have values and interests similar to ours. We are happy to cooperate with individuals, community gardens as well as organizations. At the moment, you have the following options if you wish to cooperate with us:
- Organize a seed swap!
If you already have a garden, and you are happy to exchange seeds, you can organize a seed swap. If you have not organized one yet, our guide might be useful for you. If you organize an event, please share the details with us via e-mail, enabling us to share it through Facebook, and include it in our country level calendar of events as well. - Grow landraces (local varieties)!
If you already have your own balcony, garden or farm, you can grow different varieties and landraces. We are happy to see posts and photos of these in our Facebook group, and do not hesitate to ask, if you have any questions! If you have a couple of free hours every month, you can join our volunteer team. Currently, we are organizing a group of volunteers for online tasks and activities to be performed in Budapest, but there will be also other opportunities later. At the moment, you can help us by:
- making videos, taking photos,
- making interviews,
- helping at seed swaps,
- taking part in the preparatory activities of seed swaps (in Budapest),,
- representing Magház on various events (mostly in Budapest),
- promoting Magház online,
- helping with gardening and seed saving.

Where are we?
We are all around the country. Currently, we do not have a central office since our members work independently everywhere in the country in their gardens and farms. At the moment, we are creating two groups: one working on the online representation of Magház and another performing activities required for smooth operation in Budapest .
